AutoTradie AI Call · optional call-handling setup

Every call matters. Make sure you never miss the opportunity.

Meet AutoTradie AI Call. An Australian AI receptionist setup designed to answer customer enquiries, capture opportunities and help trade businesses stay on top of incoming calls — once your phone route is verified and tested.

01 · Never miss another opportunity

On the roof. Under a house. Still covered.

AutoTradie AI Call is a separate setup for trade businesses exploring an AI receptionist. Configure business information and call-handling rules before deciding whether to connect a phone route.

A

Answer configured questions

Add the business name, trade, services, service area, hours and approved information that callers may need. Keep the profile current and only approve answers and pricing rules you are comfortable with the assistant using.

B

Capture the enquiry

Decide what the assistant may collect — name, callback number, suburb and a short description — so each enquiry has a clear next step.

C

Know its limits

Decide what the assistant may collect, when it should offer a callback, how urgent requests should be handled and when a caller needs a person. Do not rely on an AI assistant for emergency response, a confirmed trade diagnosis or a price that has not been approved.

02 · Sounds natural. Speaks Australian.

A voice that suits a local business.

Every AI Call plan includes Australian voice selection. Callers are told they’re speaking with an automated assistant, and can always ask for a person.

03 · Built around your business

It only knows what you approve.

Add the business name, trade, services, service area, hours and approved information that callers may need. Keep the profile current and only approve answers and pricing rules you are comfortable with the assistant using.

04 · From phone call to organised job

A clear path from ring to record.

Each step below applies only once a verified subscription, phone route and controlled tests are in place. Booking stays with your team.

  1. Customer calls

Via your verified, tested phone route.

  2. Assistant answers

Identifies itself and uses approved information.

  3. Details collected

    Only the fields you allow.

  4. Enquiry recorded

Appears in call activity when connected.

  5. Your team follows up

Staff know how to respond to each event.

  6. Job booked by you

Confirmed by a person in AutoTradie.

    Not automated

05 · Stay in control

You set the rules. You see the activity.

Use test calls for common enquiries, existing customers, out-of-area requests, urgent issues and human hand-off. Check that the correct business receives each event and that staff know how to respond. Do not enable multi-business call routing until the business identity is reliable.

Call history & activity

Once connected, call activity appears in your setup: calls this month, answered, missed, outbound and billable minutes.

Usage & monthly minutes

Estimate minutes during setup from your expected calls and average call length. Included minutes apply to each 30-day billing period; usage is reported separately from AutoTradie workspace billing.

Human hand-off

Business settings

Update services, hours, areas and approved answers whenever things change.

Recordings, your call

Live calling and recording retention are not enabled by default and depend on the settings you choose.

01

Set clear call-handling limits

Decide what the assistant may collect, when it should offer a callback, how urgent requests should be handled and when a caller needs a person. Do not rely on an AI assistant for emergency response, a confirmed trade diagnosis or a price that has not been approved.

02

Live answering requires verification

Saving the setup or using a text simulation does not make live calls active. A verified subscription, phone route and controlled tests are required before any business routes real customer calls. Confirm number forwarding, the destination, fallback behaviour and provider charges before switching calls over.

03

Test and review before launch

Use test calls for common enquiries, existing customers, out-of-area requests, urgent issues and human hand-off. Check that the correct business receives each event and that staff know how to respond. Do not enable multi-business call routing until the business identity is reliable.

04

Keep the AI call service separate

AutoTradie AI Call is optional and its plans and usage are separate from the normal AutoTradie workspace plans. The current requirements and displayed plan terms should be reviewed before checkout.

06 · AI Call plans

Priced by included minutes.

Separate from workspace plans. Plans bill in AUD every 30 days, not once per calendar month. Included minutes apply to each 30-day billing period. Review the current setup and displayed terms before checkout.
